PCEI seeks to raise the cultural value of Rhode Island by serving as both a platform to raise awareness and support for the State's authentic cultural communities and expressions, and also a clearinghouse for interested stakeholders, investors and supporters to become fully engaged. In this manner, PCEI cultivates a fertile space for innovative, culturally respectful and economically sustainable collaboration by highlighting Rhode Island's greatest natural resource - its cultural diversity - to create a new cultural exchange, trade and commerce, sector of development for the state in an effort to create a better tomorrow for us all.

PCEI is based in the philosophy that each of us, in some form or fashion, is "walking in two worlds". That is to say each of us, on some level, is seeking to find the balance between holding onto the unique experiences, beliefs, traditions and culture that make us who we are as individuals, while at the same time navigating this shared space that we collectively call "community".
This concept is derived from the words of CEO/Founder Raymond Two Hawks' great grand uncle, the late Nahaganset Sachem Edward Sunset Michael, who stated that he was "...an Indian of today; a modern man who forgets not the faith of his forefathers." It is this wisdom that serves the foundation upon which PCEI's work is based.
